The Funny Things They Say

So the kids are talking about Moses the other day and Sylvia says how he was in Egypt. And there were those 10 bad things that he [well, God] made to happen. Whitton interjects, "Oh yeah, the 10 pranks."

Then on the radio last week the news announcer informed us that a 1200 pound cupcake had been made and would make it into the Guiness Book of World Records. It was on display somewhere in Detroit. Maren's eyes got really big as she said, "Can we have some!"
(This story isn't so much funny as it is telling of the wonder and possibility in a child's mind. I just loved how she instantly connected with that cupcake. :) )
