We Got It!!!

Well, I can't believe it, but today in the mail we received our I171-H!!! This is the end-all of end-all forms that I was just talking about just two days ago in the blog. I was thinking it would take at least another couple weeks, and yet, here it is, totally nondescript in every way, with miniscule lettering in the lower lefthand corner (I171H). So, in the morning I'm going to make 3 copies of everything in our dossier, probably 30-40 sheets. Then, in the afternoon, we will drive down to Springfield to have our Power of Attorney and Dossier Cover Sheet certified (this means they certify that all the notaries we had were bonified notaries). Then, if we can make it to the post office in time, we'll send everything off to our agency.

We're so happy!!! Eeeek! We'll let you know when America World sends it to Ethiopia. That will be called our DTE - Date To Ethiopia. The next step. That won't be so much a baby step. More like an Elephant step. :) Love y'all!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! My parents brought home 3 from Ethiopia (throught AWAA) in May. I believe that we met you at the airport to see the Lipics come home. I also believe that I may have met you at the Grace Church adoption fair in February. I was at the Scraps 'n Ribbons table and know that there was at least one family considering adopting through America World that we talked to.

Susan,I am so excited for your family! The adoption journey is an amazing blessing and adventure, as you are already experiencing. Each thing/document checked off was reason to celebrate. What a joy that journey was! We used America World Agency when we adopted Claire from China and I can't say enough positive things about them! They were wonderful in every way. I look forward to following your blog and praying for you as you anticipate your Ethiopian child joining your family. Blessings! Julie Weiss
