Hi all. Just wanted to give a brief update. Well, three weeks after overnighting that important form on June 22, we realized that it had been sent to the wrong Immigration office, in Naperville instead of Chicago. But in the very hour that we figured this out and were emailing the right person to try and figure out how to retrieve our valuable manila envelope, she wrote back to say that the Naperville office had forwarded it on to them in Chicago and it was on her desk. Soon after that, we received our appointment date to go get fingerprints in NAPERVILLE- yes, that was the correct location this time- on August 11th. So, this was really the last thing we had to do in our Paper Chase phase, EXCEPT to wait for our final approval from USCIS (Immigration).
So, that approval is called the I171-H, and we pray that that will arrive in a few short weeks. Once we have our paws on that dude, we'll have all that we need to send in our dossier (big 'ol file of documents) to America World, who will make sure it's all in order and translated and then send it on to the Ethiopian government. We'll get a couple of the documents certified in Springfield and make 3 copies of every single thing we're sending first. But I can assure you we'll do that in short order (one day, Lord willing). Thanks for your prayers in all of this. Pray that God would expedite our process, if that would be for His glory. Things have gone much slower these past few months than we would have liked, but what we would like is really neither here nor there. We know God is intimately involved in these details and will bring his will to fruition.
